The Ohio Valley Scottish Society is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, entertaining, and conserving the Scottish Culture through the Scottish Arts. Currently we sponsor the annual Cincinnati Highland Dance Competition.
Our mission also includes encouraging all ages to participate in the culture of Scotland through dance and music. We offer scholarships for Highland Dancers, Pipers, and Drummers to attend the Ohio Scottish Arts School in Oberlin, Ohio in June.
Additionally, the OVSS will continue to reach out to the Scottish Community by helping those interested in the Scottish Arts obtain performers or participate with the various Scottish groups or organizations that are in the Ohio Valley area.
It's easy to become involved. Simply contact us. OVSS has performed for many local civic organizations and churches, including the Seventh Presbyterian Church in Walnut Hills’ Annual Kirking and the City of Hamilton Sister Cities event. We are always looking for opportunities to demonstrate our art.
OVSS gladly accepts tax-deductible donations for its performances. If you are interested in having OVSS entertain for your event or would like to make a donation, please contact us!
